Building two new HP Compaq PC's for work. One BSODs and tries to restart itself on regular occasions and the other refuses to perform an update to Microsoft's own SQL Server Express 2005. One a security update and the other a service pack.

It did this on both PC's so it is not a one off isolated incident.

Really, I hate this shit. This is the sort of stuff that leaves me totally frustrated and yes I have gone to the knowledgebase article for both (KB960089 & KB955706 respectively) and they are as much good as scraping sandpaper on your arse for three years without stopping.

There is no other software installed and this all kicks in once you actually register the version of Office 2007 that is pre-installed using the Activation Key that you can purchase at the same time as buying the PC as we all do because it is cheaper. 

This MS SQL piece of goddam crap then comes into play.

Really. How difficult is it for the vendor to get their stupid asses in play and get their own updates to work without any difficulty? Is this really too much to ask?

Honest to God. For all you Microsoft Fanboys out there, for the first time in my life I can honestly say - Fuck you all to Hell. I have wasted nearly a week of my working life for your Garbage Basement hell hole of an operating system.
